About Our Company
George Galek and Steve Tallman founded
TAG Mechanical Systems in August of 1988. The business started in a humble way; a 8' x 10' office space in Steve's home, a garage, and a building that was affectionately called "the chicken coop." These three buildings were the extent of TAG's facilities.
Later, after TAG's business grew, a real "shop" was purchased on Court Street Road in Syracuse, NY in 1990. TAG operated from this location for the next 12 years. However, George and Steve found that, even though they had doubled the size of this facility over those 12 years, it still didn't provide the space that the business required to adequately serve TAG's
customer base.
TAG decided to purchase their current facility in late 2002 in order to better serve their customers needs. The new facility is located at 4019 New Court Ave in Syracuse, NY.
The facility provides over 20,000 square feet of space with comfortable, efficient, and spacious offices. The facility also
encompasses a state of the art, bright, and clean sheet metal and stainless steel hood fabrication shop.
TAG's success is attributed to their honesty and dedication in providing quality service and products to their ever-growing customer base throughout greater Central New York and up along the Hudson River.
